Fernando, Clarissa, and I were given the opportunity to showcase and create displays that resonate and communicate HHCC's philosophy of what it takes to do amazing work; diversity. Each cube face was cast with people of different departments and walks of life. The installation invites the user to play by allowing the user to rotate the torsos with the legs of another and vice versa. for her studio album, Infinitas Posibilidades En Ti (en: Infinite Possibilities in You). I was asked to create it in the manner that reflects her album's title and her liberal music. I was given little to no restraints when it came to art exploration and composition. Instead of treating the booklet under one style, I decided to approach each song as an individual project. The only thing Malegra clearly specified was to include her quotes in the middle pages. From the Scion Xb to the Nissan Cube, they’re everywhere. It’s no longer unique; it’s mundane. I decided my goal was to create an ad campaign that celebrates the non-conforming original pioneer of car design, the Beetle. The 3-piece mock ad campaign shows the New Beetle in different urban quotidian environments. The environment is exaggerated and stretched to a pixilated city of boxes, where the Beetle’s competitors seem to blend into city’s scenery. On the other hand, the New Beetle’s shape and color contrast and repel the “pixelation” of the boxcars. “Spot the difference” accompanies the ad’s different imagery situations to point out the obvious difference in the city skapes. This ad campaign is intended to appear in an 8.5” x 11” magazines, from fashion to men’s fitness publications. Due to its affordable price and campaign mentality, the New Beetle is aimed at early teenagers (16) all the way to young adults (25).
